Abstrak
The pregnancy process will cause pregnant women to experience physical and psychological changes, these changes often cause discomfort which will be felt differently in each trimester of pregnancy, including lower back pain during pregnancy. One way to overcome back pain during pregnancy is by doing prenatal yoga movements. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of prenatal yoga on back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester.
The research method uses quasi-experimental research. With a one group pretest posttest design, the research population was third trimester pregnant women with a sample of 15 respondents. Date was collected by measuring pain before and after prenatal yoga using the prenatal yoga SOP and Numerical Rating Scales (NRS) observation sheet, then the data was processed and analyzed using the Shapiro Wilk test. The research results obtained before the intervention was given, the highest pain was moderate pain, 53.4%, and after the intervention was given, the highest pain data was obtained, the highest pain was mild pain, 46%. The results of statistical tests showed that the average value before the intervention was 0.125 and the average after the intervention was 0.52 with a p value of 0.000. The conclusion of the research is that it can be concluded that there is an influence of prenatal yoga on back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester at TPMB D, Depok City. So it is recommended that midwives do prenatal yoga as a way to reduce back pain during pregnancy.
